Looking to Register a Lineback?
Registration Rules at ALCR
To register an animal with the American Lineback Cattle Registry (ALCR):
The animal must be a Lineback.
Effective January 1, 2019: One of the parents of the offspring must be a registered Lineback.
If your Lineback has an unregistered dam but the sire is registered (or vice versa), the animal can still be registered.
BLAD Test Results:
Bulls born after March 1, 2019, that test positive for BLAD are ineligible for registration.

Females sired by a BLAD-positive bull do not need to be tested for registration.
Lineback Patterns
There are four distinctive patterns in the Lineback breed:
- Classic White Witrick
- Dark-Sided Witrick
- Dark-Speckled Witrick
- Gloucester
All marked Linebacks will have:
- Speckled or dark sides
- Dark nose
- Dark-lined eyes
- Dark ears
- A white line down the back
Color variations may include Black, Red, Brown, Blue, or White.
Registration Information
- Fill out the registration form completely.
- Provide accurate parentage information.
- ALCR does not accept entries identified only as “Grade”.
- Every animal must have a date of birth.
- If enrolled in the DHI Test, provide the ID number the animal is identified by.
